šŸ€Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day in the Heart of Downtown Roanoke!

Downtown Roanoke is gearing up for one of its most festive traditions—the Freedom First St. Patrick’s Day Parade and Shamrock Festival, happening Saturday, March 14, 2026! If you’re looking for a full day of Irish‑themed fun, music, community spirit, and plenty of green, this is the place to be.

ā˜˜ļø Parade Highlights

The celebration kicks off with the St. Patrick’s Day Parade at 11:00 AM, rain or shine. The parade winds its way from Jefferson Street at Elm Avenue, continues along Campbell Avenue, and wraps up at Williamson Road. Expect dancing, marching bands, colorful floats, and all the Irish cheer you can imagine.

Can’t make it in person? No worries—WZBJ24 will be broadcasting it live!

šŸŽ¶ Shamrock Festival Fun

Starting bright and early at 10:00 AM, the Shamrock Festival takes over John Nolen Plaza, right behind the City Market Building. This free, family-friendly event offers something for everyone:

  • Live music all day on the Delta Dental Stage
  • Delicious food and local vendors
  • Adult beverages
  • A lively, festive atmosphere perfect for all ages

Band lineup includes:

  • šŸŽ§ DJ Joey Nicely (10 AM–12 PM)
  • šŸŽµ ON3 (12:30–1:30 PM)
  • šŸŽø Vintage Reign (2–3 PM)
  • šŸŽ¤ That 80’s Band (3:30–5 PM)
