The weekend is going to get cold and messy.
Plan for a wintry mix starting Sunday afternoon, with mostly snow falling Sunday night and into Monday.
It's too early for totals, but we should be seeing area wide snow with it sticking around for a little bit.
Travel impacts should be expected late Sunday and early Monday with ice and snow mixing and freezing overnight.
Power outages could be possible thanks to freezing rain and ice forming on power lines.
Looks like ice is becoming our biggest weather concern with this system.
The week ahead is going to bring brutal cold for the entire week with highs only in the 30s and lows in the teens.
