Charlamagne Tha God suggested that all rappers to move accordingly amid a violent altercation between Nardo Wick's entourage and a fan.
In a video TMZ posted on Saturday, December 2, The Breakfast Club host spoke with the outlet about the Florida artist's situation during his time at the United Justice Coalition Summit in New York City. During their conversation, Charlamagne said he thinks entourages "are played out" and advised artists to replace the unnecessary people within their camps with hard workers who can serve a purpose.
"Entourages are played out, especially if you have a bunch of people around you who don't serve a real purpose," the radio host said.
His advice to artists comes after two members of Nardo Wick's camp violently attacked a young fan who only asked to take a photo with the Florida rapper. The fan suffered from serious head injuries and was admitted to the hospital immediately after the incident. Wick instantly got in touch with the fan's mother and denounced the actions of his team in a lengthy statement.
After he distanced himself from the situation, TMZ reports that both 34-year-old Zachary L. Benton and a 15-year-old male turned themselves into Tampa Police on Friday night. Both men were charged with felony battery while the 15-year-old was also charged with minor in possession of a firearm while wearing a mask. The alleged attackers apparently didn't have a close relationship with the rapper. They were strictly "friends of a friend" according to the outlet.
