The State Corporation Commission has approved APCO's plan for new solar and onshore wind generation development, which will add about $2.37 a month to customers' electric bills.

Appalachian Power requested approval for several new facilities, which will bring approximately 493 megawatts of renewable generation capacity, including five solar facilities in Virginia.
