The State Corporation Commission has approved APCO's plan for new solar and onshore wind generation development, which will add about $2.37 a month to customers' electric bills.
Appalachian Power requested approval for several new facilities, which will bring approximately 493 megawatts of renewable generation capacity, including five solar facilities in Virginia.
To do this, the SCC approved a recovery of resources revenue requirement for August 2022 through July 2023 which comes to a $2.37 per month increase to the average customer's electric bill.
