From ABC 13 - WSET Meteorologist Sydney Welch:
LYNCHBURG, Va. (WSET) — There are two rounds of storms coming in within 24 to 36 hours.
The first is Tuesday afternoon, as a system dives in from the northwest.
The second enters just before commute time Wednesday.
This is a setup to see multiple strong storms Tuesday afternoon.
Storm chances remain Wednesday and Thursday with a similar severe potential.
Damaging winds from the system diving into Central Virginia will be the main threat for the next three days.
Thunderstorms fueled by afternoon heating have the potential to move slowly and drop heavy rain.
