Join us for Lynchburg's Fireworks on the Riverfront, Friday, July 1 at Riverfront Park!
Fireworks start after dark, about 9:15 pm!
Fireworks on the Riverfront is back this summer and we are so eager to welcome friends and families to Downtown Lynchburg on Friday, July 1, for this exciting FREE event!
The display will start just after dark - approximately 9:15 pm - and will be viewable from a variety of public and private locations around Downtown Lynchburg.
Fireworks on the Riverfront thanks their title sponsor, BWX Technologies, with additional support by Gentry Locke Attorneys, Mustaches 4 Kids Lynchburg, ABC13 - WSET, iHeartMedia New Country 107.9 YYD, and the City of Lynchburg.
There are quite a few locations around Downtown Lynchburg that will boast a great view!
DLA is planning to put up extra resources like restrooms and trash cans at Riverfront Park, but there are a variety of vantage points as you continue up the hill from Jefferson St to Commerce St and above.
Downtown Lynchburg offers free parking on nights and weekends, both on-street and in lots! Head to the DLA parking page to locate your best option.
Make an evening of it: You can opt to come downtown early to make an evening out of it by shopping at local stores, grabbing a drink from a brewery, and enjoying food from delicious restaurants!
Riverfront Park will be designated as “picnic-style,” meaning that you can bring your own food from home or grab takeout from one of many great downtown restaurants. However, no alcoholic beverages are permitted in the park or in public.
Also, as much as DLA loves them, no dogs are permitted in the park for this event (there's a lot of crowds and loud noises!)

Leading up to the Fireworks display, attendees are invited to enjoy live music and refreshments provide by Nomad Coffee Co., Slice Versa, Gracie Rae Pops, and Holy Heavenly Cookies. A beer garden hosted by The Water Dog will also be available.
