Update: A Tornado Watch is in effect until 2 p.m. for the counties of Amherst, Appomattox Bedford, Campbell, Charlotte, City of Danville, City of Lynchburg, City of Martinsville, Franklin, Halifax, Henry, Mecklenburg, Nelson and Pittsylvania.
Tornado warnings have expired. Some severe thunderstorms will continue this morning.
A morning full of tornado warnings has left behind damage in Bedford County near Perrowville Rd and Bethany Church Rd.
There are reports of buildings destroyed as a result of Friday morning's storms.
