Avoca Museum in Altavista will be holding several "Christmas at Avoca" Open House events in December.
Avoca is an American Queen Anne-style house built in 1901. It is designated as a Virginia Historic Landmark and is listed in the National Register of Historic Places.
During the Christmas at Avoca open house, visitors will be able to tour the mansion while it is decorated for this festive time of year.
There will be reenactors and a variety of musical talent throughout every afternoon.
Visitors are also encouraged to bring a donation for Toys for Tots who will be there all four days.
Avoca Museum also welcomes Caleb Lafoon as their new Executive Director.
Christmas at Avoca Open House will take place Sat., Dec. 4, Sun., Dec. 5, Sat., Dec. 11 and Sun., Dec. 12 from 1:00 pm until 5:00 pm.
Admission is $5, with children 11 and under free.
Avoca Museum is located at 1514 Main St. in Altavista.
