Gleaning For The World will be at Sam’s Club on Wards Road in Lynchburg on Tuesday, August 24, from 10am until 6pm, to collect donations for Tennessee flood disaster relief.
GFTW is asking for items such as bleach, rakes, mops, brooms, and large dust pans.
The organization is also asking for financial donations to help cover the costs of sending these tools to middle Tennessee.
“After any type of natural disaster occurs, items such as work gloves, shovels, and buckets are desperately needed. That’s why we’re focusing on sending these specific supplies to our Tennessee partners,” Gleaning’s president, Jeane Smiley-Mason explained.
Those interested in helping the victims of the Tennessee flooding can also donate online at gftw.org.
