GFTW Collecting Donations Thursday for Haiti Earthquake Relief

Gleaning For The World will be at Sam's Club on Wards Rd. in Lynchburg on Thursday, August 19 from 10:00 am until 6:00 pm to collect donations for Haiti earthquake relief efforts.

After a 7.2 magnitude earthquake struck Haiti last weekend, GFTW's partners in the island nation are in desperate need of medical supplies and equipment. GFTW has these items in their warehouse and they need to raise the funds to ship the items to Haiti.

You can donate online at https://www.gleaningcharity.org/haitirelief.

For those who wish to donate tangible items or financial gifts in person, Gleaning For The World will park their truck in front of Sam’s Club on Wards Road in Lynchburg, on Thursday, August 16, from 10am until 6pm, collecting a very specific list of supplies, including cots and tents.

Normally, GFTW only accepts brand new items for donations; however, if you have clean, gently-used cots and tents, please bring them to the truck in front of Sam's this Thursday.

GFTW is also asking for items from their usual disaster relief supply list: baby diapers, first aid items, shovels, mops, gloves, and more.

Supporters can also send a check to GFTW PO Box 645 Concord, VA 24538, with “Haiti Relief” in the check memo.
