In conjunction with the efforts to mark March 1st as a National Day of Mourning for COVID-19, the Floral Heart Project will be laying a floral heart at the LOVE art installation at the Craddock Terry Hotel in downtown Lynchburg at 6:30 p.m.
The public is invited to attend the memorial event March 1 at 6:30 p.m., or to visit the memorial wreath any time that evening through 10pm or daily 6 am - 10 pm, ending at noon on Friday, March 5.
Visitors are encouraged to bring flowers, candles, pictures, etc. to honor those they've lost.
Visitors are kindly asked to wear masks and social distance when at the memorial.
