RICHMOND, Va. (WSET) -- The new numbers released by the Virginia Department of Health on Monday, June 1 show an increase of 791 cases from Sunday.
The VDH is reporting a total of 45,398 COVID-19 cases in the state; 43,247 are confirmed and 2,151 are probable.
The number of deaths reported is 1,392, an increase of 17 from Sunday.
The Virginia Hospital and Healthcare Association dashboard on Monday reports that there are 952 confirmed positive COVID-19 patients currently hospitalized in Virginia and 419 patients are hospitalized waiting for their test results.
Of those numbers, 347 patients are in the ICU, and 188 patients are on a ventilator.
The VHHA reports that 5,899 COVID-19 patients have been hospitalized and discharged.
