LYNCHBURG, Va. (WSET) -- A local restaurant is continuing to feed families, but not in the way they’re used to.
The owner of La Villa on Timberlake Road is collecting food for families that are struggling during the coronavirus pandemic.
Michele DiGiovanni says he recognized a need about two months ago and started by feeding 20 families.
Now he delivers food to 100 families a week.
Members of the Campbell County Sheriff's Office, Bedford County Sheriff's Office and Virginia State Police dropped off their own donations to the restaurant Thursday.
