RICHMOND, Va. (WSET) -- The Virginia Department of Health is reporting a total of 21,570 COVID-19 cases in the state; 20,537 are confirmed and 1,033 are probable in their latest numbers released Thursday, May 7.
Also, the VDH is reporting 769 total deaths.
The Virginia Hospital and Healthcare Association dashboard on Thursday reports that there are 1,094 confirmed positive COVID-19 patients currently hospitalized in Virginia and 519 patients are hospitalized waiting for their test results. Of those numbers, 371 patients are in the ICU, and 203 patients are on a ventilator.
The VHHA reports that 2,825 COVID-19 patients have been hospitalized and discharged.
