RICHMOND, Va. (WSET) -- The Virginia Department of Health announced Friday, April 3 that there are now 2,012 people who have tested positive for COVID-19 in Virginia.
VDH says the state has reported 2,012 cases and 312 hospitalizations due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Also, 46 people have died after contracting COVID-19 as of Friday. This includes a man from the Farmville area, a woman from Botetourt County and a man in the Mount Rogers Health District.
The VDH confirmed Thursday that coronavirus is widespread in Virginia. This means that COVID-19 is spreading in communities across Virginia, and as additional cases are identified each day, it's a reminder that everyone can and should practice personal precautions to help stop the spread.
