VDH Update: 1,250 Coronavirus Cases in Va., Case Reported in Campbell Co.

RICHMOND, Va. (WSET) -- The number of confirmed coronavirus cases in Virginia has jumped to 1,250 on Tuesday, March 31 with more than two dozen deaths from the illness, according to the Virginia Department of Health.

VDH says the state has reported 1,250 cases and about 165 hospitalizations due to the virus outbreak.

In addition, 27 people have died after contracting COVID-19 as of Tuesday. This includes a man from the Farmville area, a woman from Botetourt County and a man in the Mount Rogers Health District.

The VDH also reported a confirmed case in Campbell County and Carroll County.
