Coronavirus Cases Jump to 391 in Virginia, More than 100 Cases in 24 hours

RICHMOND, Va. (WSET) -- There are now more than 300 cases of coronavirus in Virginia.

The new numbers released by the Virginia Department of Health Wednesday show there are 391 cases and 59 hospitalizations. Remember, these numbers reflect cases reported to the VDH before 5 p.m. the day before.

That's an increase of 101 cases since Tuesday.

These numbers include two more cases identified in Bedford County, one in Nelson County, and two deaths in Henrico County.

Gov. Ralph Northam will be holding a press conference at 2 p.m. Wednesday to update the Commonwealth on the pandemic.

There have been at least 10 deaths in Virginia after the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services announced a Virginia man died due to double pneumonia and COVID-19 complications.
