Blood Drive to be Held March 26 & 27 at the Lynchburg Public Library

With all the cancellations of blood drives recently for Coronavirus/COVID-19, the American Red Cross is in urgent need of blood donations.

A blood drive will take place Thursday, March 26 and Friday, March 27 at the Lynchburg Public Library from 12:00 noon until 6:00 pm each day.

Visit American Red Cross Lynchburg Chapter or call 1-800-RED-CROSS (1-800-733-2767) for more information or to make an appointment.

The American Red Cross has put in place extra safety measures to keep donors, volunteers and staff safe.

As blood drives are canceled due to coronavirus concerns, the American Red Cross strongly urges healthy individuals to give blood to help patients in need.

A blood shortage could impact patients who need surgery, victims of car accidents and other emergencies, or patients suffering from cancer. One of the most important things you can do to ensure we don’t have another health care crisis on top of the coronavirus is to give blood.
