Resident at Retirement Home in Va. Tests Positive for COVID-19

RICHMOND, Va. (WSET) -- The first patient in a long term care facility in Virginia has been diagnosed with coronavirus.

The VDH said one case of the 67 confirmed cases on Wed., March 17, 2020 is a patient in a long-term care facility in Richmond, which is very concerning. They are working with the facility to make sure the patient is isolated so it doesn't spread.

Westminster Canterbury confirmed that the patient is on of their residents.

They said the resident is currently in the hospital and recently returned from a trip to Florida.
