Second Coronavirus-Related Death Reported in Virginia

RICHMOND, Va. (WSET) -- A second person has died from the coronavirus in Virginia, Governor Ralph Northam announced.

Northam announced that a man in his 70s in the Peninsula District died from COVID-19.

Another man in his 70s died from the coronavirus, the Virginia Department of Health announced as the first coronavirus death in Virginia on Saturday, March 14.

The Virginia Department of Health (VDH) announced 51 confirmed cases of the coronavirus Monday, March 16.

Virginia is under a state of emergency, all K-12 schools were ordered to close for two weeks, and Gov. Ralph Northam banned any events with more than 100 people.
