Roanoke Co. Offers Free Meals to Students During School Closures

ROANOKE CO., Va. (WSET) -- Roanoke County schools are making sure students are fed while schools are closed.

Roanoke County Public Schools will provide one bagged breakfast and lunch every day to students who request it the day before for as long as supplies last starting Monday, March 16.

Complete a Meal Order Survey so schools know how much to provide.

A pre-prepared hot lunch and bagged breakfast will be available for pick up from noon to 12:30 p.m. at the following schools:

  • Burlington Elementary School
  • Clearbrook Elementary School
  • Glen Cove Elementary School
  • Green Valley Elementary School
  • Herman L. Horn Elementary School
  • Masons Cove Elementary School
  • Mount Pleasant Elementary School
  • Oak Grove Elementary School
  • Penn Forest Elementary School
  • Cave Spring Middle School
  • Glenvar High School

Governor Ralph Northam has also closed school for at least two weeks.
