BREAKING: Shooting At Lynchburg McDonalds

Two people have been injured after a shooting at a Lynchburg McDonald's.

Lynchburg police say the shooting happened at the McDonald's in the 2100-block of Wards Road at 6:21 p.m. Friday.

An employee said it was over a meal. She said the shooter went through the drive-thru, parked his car, then went inside and started shooting at workers behind the counter.

That is the McDonald's that is across the street from Burlington coat factory. It's also across the street from Kyotos Japanese Steakhouse, where there was a stabbing just 24 hours earlier.

Police say the two victims are suffering from non-life-threatening injuries.

They are still "actively searching" for the shooter.

Police have not yet provided a description of the suspect.
