2019 Tweed Ride

Calling all ladies and gentlemen! Join us for the annual Tweed Ride, a genteel bike tour meandering from Downtown Vinton, along the Wolf Creek Greenway, through the countryside and back, exploring some of Vinton's historical sites and scenic views. Along the way we’ll stop at several locations of significance where volunteers from the Roanoke Valley Preservation Foundation will regale us with stories of the past.

Registration is from 10:30 to 11:00 at the Vinton History Museum. We'll leave at 11, and end the ride at Twin Creeks Brewing Company for social time and fellowship. Refreshments will be served at the Vinton History Museum and again at the halfway point at the beautiful Barfield House and Gross Farm on Mountain View Rd.

We don’t want to let this fine day in your finery go unremembered, so participants can have their photos taken, free, courtesy Bella Muse Photography at the start of the ride and again at Barfield House.

Show up in your finest tweed, mount your vintage bikes, and join your fellow lads and lassies for a fine Fall ride.
