Hailey Bieber is getting candid about her pregnancy journey.

The Rhode founder, 29, joined Mary Alice Haney and Dr. Thaïs Aliabadi, who is also Bieber's OB/GYN, on the March 3 episode of their SHE MD podcast to discuss all things health related, from her mini-stroke to the complications surrounding her pregnancy and the birth of her and husband Justin Bieber's son Jack Blues Bieber.

Bieber also explained that her doctor had warned against getting pregnant due to a medical issue, so it "was a surprise" when she learned she was expecting her and the "Yukon" singer's first child together, per E! News.

"So I had a septum in my uterus, and Dr. A kept saying, 'Well, we need to look at this and keep an eye on it before you get pregnant because it could potentially be an issue,'" she recalled, adding that her doctor explained she may need a "small surgery" to address the issue. "And I was like, 'Okay. Well, I'm not thinking about getting pregnant right now, so we'll just cross that bridge when we get there.' And then I magically got pregnant."

According to Aliabadi, a uterine septum is like a "little wall" inside the uterus and causes a higher risk of miscarriage and early delivery, the latter of which worried Bieber the most due to her family history and her mother experiencing pre-term labor. Despite the setbacks and fear, however, the model had faith that everything would be OK.

"I never forget, as I was telling her, 'Well these are the risks,' she looked at me. She's like, 'You know what? I believe that everything's gonna work out fine,'" Aliabadi said. "And I looked at her, and I'm like, 'I think so too.'"

Bieber ultimately gave birth to Jack on August 22, 2024, and while she is overjoyed to be a mother, the experience was "a little bit scary" due to complications both before and immediately after he was born. In October 2025, she opened up about how motherhood has changed her for the better and why she likes herself more than she did before becoming a mom.
