Juvenile charged in E.C. Glass student's murder in court

The juvenile taken into custody in connection with the shooting of two E.C. Glass students in was in court yesterday for a preliminary hearing on his charges.

"With the court having a closed hearing there's not much I can say, but there will be later proceedings and those won't be closed so at that point I think all parties can comment," said Joe Sanzone, who's representing the juvenile in court.

Lynchburg Police responded to the 2300 block of Yorktown Avenue at The Meadows Apartments, for a malicious wounding in May.

Police said 18-year-old Dre’yon Ty’Shean Browley died from his injuries and 18-year-old Justin Barnett was injured.
