Authorities on the Southside are investigating after they found a skimmer attached to a local gas pump.
South Boston Police say they found the skimmer at the Murphy Express Gas Station on Old Halifax Road and say it looked like part of the pump because of its sophistication.
Police say one person fell victim to the scam, but they're not releasing how much money that person lost.
The device is no longer on the pump and police tracked the fraudulent charges back to Georgia.
The investigation is ongoing.
Police suggest using a credit card instead of debit at the pump.
