Virginia State Police said the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Richmond has identified the remains found in Mecklenburg County last week.
Amy Renee Fabian, who had been missing since May 24, 2019, and a stolen Ford F-350 work truck were located shortly before 11:00 a.m. on May 30 in a wooded area off Route 138, less than a mile from Route 1 in Mecklenburg County.
The incident becan around 3:30 a.m. on May 24 when the Cumberland County Sheriff's Office got a 911 call about a homicide at Fabian's home on Mount Airy Lane.
A friend of Fabian's, 29-year-old Matthew Broyles, was found dead inside the home and Fabian was missing.
