Beware: Local bee keepers say it's officially swarm season

Local bee keepers say it's officially swarm season.

Paul Tabor says the bees that are swarming are looking for a place to store nectar. He says they can get into just about any hole in your house and in minutes, you can have thousands.

He says it's important that if you see them, you don't kill them but call a bee keeper to safely remove them.

"When they move into a column or into the house then it's harder to get them out. It's easier to catch a swarm than it is to remove a colony from a house," said Tabor. He has removed more than 12 swarms in just the past few weeks.
