Campbell County Sheriff's Office makes arrests in Brookneal Homicide

On Saturday, April 13, 2019, the Campbell County Sheriff’s Office received a report that a male resident had been found unresponsive in his home; a residence located in the Hat Creek Road area of Brookneal. Deputies were dispatched the scene, and found the resident, Mr. Orlando Robey, 54 years old, deceased.

The Campbell County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division was immediately dispatched to process the scene, collect evidence and interview witnesses. Mr. Robey was likewise transported to the Medical Examiner’s Office for autopsy.

Following their investigative efforts, arrest warrants were obtained in relation to this case on April 16, 2019 for the following individuals:

  • ·Ashard Adams, 31 years old
  • ·Antonio Waller, 27 years old

Adams was charged with murder, and the use of a firearm during the commission of a felony; Waller was charged with attempted malicious wounding and the use of a firearm during the commission of a felony.

Both subjects were transported to the Blue Ridge Regional Jail and are being held without bond.
