The Lynchburg Police Department is investigating an armed robbery.
Officers responded to Fast Mart #5 at 1400 Campbell Avenue at approximately 9:46 p.m. last night, for a reported armed robbery.
The victim stated that two male subjects entered the store, one armed with a knife and moved behind the cashiers counter demanding the clerk to open the register.
One of the subjects took an undisclosed amount of cash and the other subject stole merchandise before fleeing on foot toward 12th Street.
