A Potential One Direction Reunion Might Happen Over The Holidays

One Direction could be plotting a reunion soon!

Liam Payne hinted at potentially reconnecting with the other members of the English-Irish pop band — consisting of members Niall Horan, Louis Tomlinson, Harry Styles — in a recent interview with Capital FM.

When asked whether he'd spoken to any of his former bandmates, Payne said he had, in fact, been in contact with Horan recently. "I spoke to Niall the other day," Payne told the station. "We were both super jet lagged. He texted me at like 2 in the morning, and I was just wide awake from like midnight to right through the next day."

"We spent, like, four hours on FaceTime. I hadn’t spoken to him in ages. It was actually really, really funny. We had a really good laugh," he continued. Despite having no concrete plans in place to rejoin, the "Strip That Down" crooner said, "I’d hope to [see them over Christmastime]. Everyone’s so busy, it is what it is."

Even so, Payne said the only other member he's been in touch with is Tomlinson.

"I obviously saw Louis over the course of X Factor,” he added. “I haven’t seen Harry in a while now, but I think everybody’s in London at the moment, which is cool, for the first time — the closest we’ve been for a while."

While a reunion seems hopeful for the remaining four members of the group, it's safe to say lone wolf and former Directioner Zayn Malik won't receive an invite. Especially considering the "Pillow Talk" musician somewhat exposed the drama and bickering he endured with his bandmates during their time as a five-piece in a new song titled "Good Years."
