Woman Reunites With Teens Who Saved Her Life

A 72-year-old woman who was stuck inside of a burning car recently reunited with the two young heroes who saved her life.

Gloria Cage said she was on her way to church when she hit a large pothole that caused the car to leak oil. Flames sparked from the hood of the car and she was trapped inside when the power locks also froze. “I can’t tell you how frightened I was, but I was just beating on the window.” Gloria said.

That’s when Marcus Dillard and his brother drove pass and noticed the smoke coming from the vehicle. “You could say God was telling me to turn around,” said the high school student. “I had [taken] a firefighter class before (and) I just knew when you bust a window, you have to turn your head so glass won’t get in your eyes.” And that’s exactly what he did. He used a car jack to smash the window to pull Gloria to safety. Thankfully she walked away with no major injuries.

After the emotional reunion, Gloria thanked Marcus for being her angel and her daughter gifted the teen and his brother with a $100.
