I’m thrilled to share one of my favorite holiday traditions with you all! Every year, my daughter Kaelynn and I make our way to The Hotel Roanoke for the Fashions for Evergreens event, and let me tell you, it’s a magical experience we look forward to every holiday season.
For those who haven’t had the pleasure of attending, Fashions for Evergreens is a spectacular tree-decorating contest that runs from Thanksgiving to New Year’s Day. It’s free and open to the public, and it benefits the United Way of Roanoke Valley1. This event is all about creativity, community, and a whole lot of holiday cheer.
Walking through the beautifully decorated trees, each one more dazzling than the last, is a sight to behold. Families come together to snap photos, vote for their favorite trees, and soak in the festive atmosphere. Kaelynn and I love picking out our favorite tree and casting our vote (with a donation, of course) to support a great cause.
