Heavy rain, possibly starting out as sleet or freezing rain in higher elevations, will cover the Roanoke and Lynchburg areas on Tuesday, January 9.
Minor flooding is possible from the expected 2 to 3 inches of rain.
In addition, wind gusts could top 40 mph.
