ROANOKE, Va. (WSET) — A small daycare bus was involved in a crash on I-581 in Roanoke Wednesday afternoon.
Virginia State Police responded to the incident at 12:18 p.m. on Interstate 581 southbound.
Troopers say the Honeytree Bus was traveling south on I-581 when a vehicle, entering from the on-ramp, cut off the bus, causing the driver to take evasive action to avoid a collision, leading the bus to overturn on its side in the median.
There were 11 children on the bus from the South Roanoke Honeytree, ages 5- to 10-years-old, VSP says, though none of the children required medical assistance.
