LYNCHBURG, Va. (WSET) — A player on the Lynchburg Hillcats died unexpectedly Thursday afternoon.
The Cleveland Guardians released a statement saying Andrés Meléndez died in Miami, Florida. He was 20-years-old.
"Meléndez is remembered by his teammates and friends as a positive, respectful and thoughtful young man with a beautiful smile who had a profound impact on others," the Guardians said. "He will be greatly missed."
