UPDATE:
An elderly Lynchburg woman missing since last night has been found safe.
After nearly 18 hours of searching by several area police and fire departments and K-9 units, Beatrice Reese Spencer, 74, of Lynchburg, was located near the intersection of Hollins and Polk Streets at approximately 5:45 p.m. on June 21, 2021.
She was transported to Lynchburg General Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
