UPDATE:
ROANOKE, Va. (WSET) -- One man is dead and another man is injured after a shootout at the McDonald's on Williamson Road in Roanoke on Wednesday afternoon, according to the Roanoke Police Department.
Police said that this incident will now be investigated as a homicide.
EARLIER:
Roanoke City Police are responding to a reported shootout at the McDonald's on Williamson Road on Wednesday afternoon.
Witnesses at the scene said that at least one person was shot in a shootout at the restaurant.
Roanoke Police and EMS officials were called to the restaurant around 2:30 p.m. August 19.
Witnesses said they were leaving the Post Office across the street when they said people started shooting from a vehicle.
