Virginia Coronavirus Cases Rise Above 13,000 as Deaths Reach 458

RICHMOND, Va. (WSET) -- The latest numbers released by the Virginia Department of Health Monday, April 27 show there are 13,535 total cases; 13,036 confirmed and 499 probable. That's an increase of 565 cases since yesterday.

The death toll has risen from 448 to 458.

The Virginia Hospital and Healthcare Association dashboard on Monday shows that there are 913 confirmed positive COVID-19 patients currently hospitalized in Virginia and 542 patients are hospitalized waiting for their test results. Of those numbers, 389 patients are in the ICU and 217 patients are on a ventilator.

The VHHA reports that 1,843 COVID-19 patients have been hospitalized and discharged.
