460 Cases of Coronavirus Confirmed in Va., Including One in Lynchburg

RICHMOND, Va. (WSET) -- The Virginia Department of Health has released new numbers for coronavirus cases in the state, which shows more than 400 confirmed cases.

The new numbers released by the Virginia Department of Health Thursday show there are 460 cases and 65 hospitalizations. Remember, these numbers reflect cases reported to the VDH before 5 p.m. the day before.

That's an increase of 69 cases since Wednesday. This includes the first confirmed case reported in Lynchburg.

These numbers include a second case in Danville.

There have been at least 13 deaths in Virginia after the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services announced a Gretna man died due to double pneumonia and COVID-19 complications and a third person at a Henrico County rehabilitation center passed away due to complications with the virus.
