LYNCHBURG, Va. (WSET) -- The Central Virginia Health District announced its first case of COVID-19 in the area.
The Central Virginia Health District encompasses the City of Lynchburg, and the counties of Appomattox, Amherst, Bedford, and Campbell.
The patient is a male from Amherst County in his 30s. He is isolated at home and monitoring his health. To protect patient privacy, no further information will be provided.
Centra confirmed that the patient was not treated at one of their facilities.
