This by far is the easiest and shortest of the hikes by water but by no means does that engender boring. The 37 acre peninsula has numerous amenities in addition to wonderful views of Smith Mountain Lake. Make sure to bring a few bucks for the post hike stop at Homestead Creamery, a delicious way to finish off this hiking series. Ages 10 and up must be accompanied by and adult 18 or over. If meeting at the community park please arrive at 9:15 am.
Register for the full series for only $25.00. Meet at the Essig Recreation Center at 8:30am if taking the shuttle. Space is limited - Registration deadline November 2nd.
