MEDIA ADVISORY: SENIOR SCAM AND FRAUD ALERT SEMINAR
For the first time, the Lynchburg Police Department is holding a Senior Scam and Fraud Alert Seminar this Saturday to provide information on how residents can protect themselves from scams targeting the senior population. In the seminar, LPD officials will discuss the latest scams and how to avoid them, how people can protect themselves and their families, awareness of the scam issue and solutions, and how to report. Katie Jennings from the LPD will be available for interviews on Friday for pre-stories and at the event on Saturday.
