The Zaxby's in Roanoke has closed up shop without any notice to employees.
Zaxby's corporate office confirmed that the licensee of the Zaxby's on 3206 Ordway Drive in Roanoke made the decision to close the restaurant on Wednesday.
That Zaxby's location was owned and operated by VaZax Dining, LLC which is an independent licensee of Zaxby’s Franchising LLC.
Employees said they showed up to work Wednesday to a sign on the door that said "closed for renovations".
Corporate has confirmed that is not true.
Employees said they haven't been paid and now they are concerned they won't be.
