On June 10, 2019, at approximately 7:30 p.m. Roanoke Police responded to a call of a person with a gunshot wound in the 700 block of Westwood Boulevard, NW.
Upon arrival, officers located a male, young child, with a gunshot wound inside of a residence.
The child was transported to Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital by Roanoke FIre-EMS where he is receiving treatment for serious injuries.
At this time, no arrests have been made in this incident. The juvenile's family is cooperating with the investigation.
The investigation is on-going.
