The Blue Ridge Country Festival scheduled for this weekend has been postponed until May 2022 at the request of local health officials due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic

The festival was set to kickoff this Friday at the Blue Ridge Amphitheater in Pittsylvania County.

In an email sent to ticketholders Monday, the Festival organizers said that the event has been rescheduled for May 13-15, 2022.

"At the request of local health officials, Blue Ridge Country Festival slated for October 1st-3rd 2021 will be postponed to May 13th-15th, 2022 due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. We thank you for your continued support of the festival and look forward to an incredible first annual event in 2022!"

Organizers say all tickets and camping passes will automatically rollover to the new dates. Ticket holders will also be given an additional 3-day pass and a merchandise item free.
