VDH Reports Over 26,000 Coronavirus Cases, 927 Total Deaths

RICHMOND, Va. (WSET) -- The new numbers released by the Virginia Department of Health Wednesday, May 13 show an increase of 946 cases from Tuesday.

The VDH is reporting a total of 26,746 COVID-19 cases in the state; 24,431 are confirmed and 1,315 are probable.

The number of deaths reported is 927, an increase of 36 from Tuesday.

The Virginia Hospital and Healthcare Association dashboard on Wednesday reports that there are 1,041 confirmed positive COVID-19 patients currently hospitalized in Virginia and 485 patients are hospitalized waiting for their test results.

Of those numbers, 374 patients are in the ICU, and 202 patients are on a ventilator.

The VHHA reports that 3,554 COVID-19 patients have been hospitalized and discharged.
