Virginia Sees 622 New Coronavirus Cases, 522 Total Deaths Reported

RICHMOND, Va. (WSET) -- The Virginia Department of Health is reporting 14,961 total coronavirus cases; 14,328 confirmed and 633 probable as of Wednesday, April 29.

The death toll has risen from 492 to 522.

The Virginia Hospital and Healthcare Association dashboard on Wednesday reports that there are 946 confirmed positive COVID-19 patients currently hospitalized in Virginia and 620 patients are hospitalized waiting for their test results. Of those numbers, 327 patients are in the ICU, and 222 patients are on a ventilator, an increase of 5 from the previous day.

The VHHA reports that 2,042 COVID-19 patients have been hospitalized and discharged.
