Over 11,500 Coronavirus Cases Reported in Va., Death Toll Climbs Above 400

RICHMOND, Va. (WSET) -- There are now more than 11,500 cases of coronavirus in Virginia.

The latest numbers released by the Virginia Department of Health Friday, April 24 show there are 11,594 total cases; 11,169 confirmed and 425 probable. And the death toll has risen to 410.

The Virginia Hospital and Healthcare Association dashboard on Friday shows that there are 912 confirmed positive COVID-19 patients currently hospitalized in Virginia and 487 patients are hospitalized waiting for their test results. Of those numbers, 379 patients are in the ICU and 220 patients are on a ventilator.

The VHHA reports that 1,672 COVID-19 patients have been hospitalized and discharged.
